Diana, or the Widow Lenoir as she is more commonly known, has been the regent
witch for the city of New Orleans for over forty years, following a familial line
spanning back fifteen generations to the very founding of the city. During her
tenure, she has amassed the overall respect of her subordinate covens as both
a fair and unyielding leader. Though one for second chances, third and fourth tries
are not an option, and incurring her wrath means blood. The well-being of her people
have always been her paramount concern, rivaled only by the love she bears for her
family.

At the age of seventeen she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Hale, another
ancestral cradle witch. Together they welcomed the births of two children, Elisabeth
and Marc, within just a few short years of marriage. They were the picture-perfect
nuclear family, and played a major role within their coven. However, tragedy struck
their home when Marc drowned in a pool at the age of ten. He was mourned by the
whole of New Orleans' witch community, and still remembered fondly to this day. Since
Marc was the elder child, it was expected that he would follow in his mother's footsteps,
but now the torch was passed to his younger sister, Elisabeth.

Diana devoted herself heart-and-soul to the upbringing of her daughter, ensuring that
she'd become a strong and independent young woman and one day come into her own.
Little did she know, that was exactly the case, but in a completely different sense. Rather
than remaining in New Orleans, Elisabeth attended medical school in Georgia, meeting a
man named Fraser who also happened to be a witch. The two fell in love, and rather than
returning home the young woman forsook her birthright for passion, settling down in
Savannah and raising a family under her husband's craft of White magic.

Furious and brokenhearted that her daughter could betray the family legacy in such a way,
the regent receded from public life, withdrawing to the privacy of her rooms within the
Abittoir, only to emerge on official business. Pining for the loss of her children, she's never
named a successor, leaving the matter up in the air for nearly a quarter of a century.

the living. In his youth, he worked at a morgue as he went through school and medical
school. He has made more than one anonymous call to the police with information
concerning open homicide cases and has a soft spot for the animators in his town,

the two but they escaped and had to forgo their dream vacation home. Back in New
Orleans, they went back to the bayou and learned to hone their were-bear power

was in her late forties by that point and had a lot of complications in
her pregnancy but managed to give birth to a healthy baby girl,
making Gage an older brother once more. When his youngest sister
was a year old, she got away from their mother and ran into the
street. She was hit and killed on impact by truck. Because she'd right
in front of Gage and he'd missed grabbing her hand by a fraction of
an inch, he'd always held himself responsible for his sister's death
and became somewhat overly protective of his last remaining sister
even though there was only two years between them.

Years later, his sister Sarah was brutally raped and left for dead by
some tourists during a local festival. Gage tracked them all the way to
the bowels of LA where they were making deals with the local drug
dealers for turf and trade and managed to kill three of them. Because
the rapists presented themselves as pillars of their community, the odds
were not in Gage's favor. His parents packed him up, gave him money
and told him to run.

Orleans was on any map.
Their lineage predates the founding of the city by by the French in 1718 and all those years
people still do not pronounce their name correctly. "It is 'Go-Shay'" should be on their family
coat of arms because it is probably the most uttered phrase through every generation, and
there have been many generations to date. The exact number is unknown but their earliest
records kept by the family themselves stretches 3 more generations back from the 1718 founding.

The current head of the Gautier family is Vincent, second son of Loic and Josette, their Eldest
son died at the age of two. It is a common dark joke amongst their own line as to how
they survived so many years as the Gautier line has a very unlucky streak of dieing before
their time. Though as a witch, one knows their time can come at any moment and even
then it is not complete sorrow or loss for the Gautier are Ancestral Witches, communication
with those gone beyond is as prevalent as reading the morning paper.

Unfortunately, when Vincent met his wife, another witch of their same coven, she too met
her end at a young age and it numbed Vincent to the want for something more, even if one can
contact spirits, it pales in comparison to the living. Especially when one died the way
Hayley did, in an alley by a drugged up human wanting a couple of dollars for their next hit.
Something spooked the individual who ended up shooting Hayley, ending her short life.
To this day Vincent keeps that part of himself locked away yet he is always willing to help
others from within his coven and out. Kindness did not leave him but a large portion of his heart did.

Being of such old blood and never having left their ancestral home, Vincent is a very powerful
Cradle Witch, yet not being one to flaunt it he makes no bones hiding the fact he will defend his home.
This was never said in words or even actions, but then such things rarely needed to be spoken,
