Alaenera is the oldest child of King Aerion IV by his sister-wife Queen Shaera, and though she is not oldest among his children overall inheritance laws mandate the oldest offspring by a queen consort take precedence over those of Princesses consort or concubines. Also, she stood as the first among his children to become a Dragon-rider, further solidifying her claim on the New Valyrian throne. She was brought up within the royal court in the city of Meereen, educated by the best tutors her father could afford and introduced to the realm at an early age to familiarize them with the future queen. Given this had been the status-quo since the age of the Great Liberators, Daenerys and Aegon, she was met with little grievance by her siblings. Male preference inheritance was also long-gone, primary focus remaining on legitimacy. All the Targaryen children were educated together initially and spread out for specialization later on, with the exception of combat training in which they would all be drilled daily.

Nearing her majority, a marriage was arranged with between herself and her cousin Jacahrys from Yunkai; therefore, he was brought to court so that they might become better acquainted. The two got along well enough and he would provide the appropriate heirs needed by a queen-regnant, who could only take one spouse for herself. In truth, she found him quiet and bookish, but time would only tell how things might turn out for the pair. Their wedding ceremony was officially arranged and occurred on her thirteenth name-day, the groom was fifteen. Though consummated the marriage remains without offspring, in-part from the discouragement provided by the King and Queen for fear that an early-pregnancy might weaken Alaenera's health.

Within two years, King Aerion's own whoring has caught up with him and he met his fate at the hands of lover's pox, and so his daughter-heiress and her husband were crowned in the temple of Vhagar and moved into the great apartments of the Daenerion Palace. Her mother remains queen regent until Alaenera comes of age, and her husband serves on the council as Hand of the Queen, as is befitting his role and capabilities. Also, her half-sister and closest friend serves as her Advisor and Translator.

Alysanne is traditionally attractive, considered by her contemporaries to be either fair or beautiful, with high cheekbones, jade green eyes, and thick auburn hair that falls in waves to her waist. As she has grown up, her figure has been described as tall, graceful, and womanly. Her skin is white like milk, with only the faintest splashing of freckles across her cheeks and nose. Though the majority of her features derive from her Gaelic ancestry, the added height extends from her mother's Franko-Lorrainer origins with brothers all towering over 6'2."

Despite Skotland's barbaric reputation, Alysanne was raised the daughter of its king and is therefore a lady and the proper princess in every sense of the word. Though she professes the Catholic faith, her family are known sympathizers and reformed practitioners of Celtic paganism, protected by their undeniably ancient royal blood. The Princess Alysanne of Skotland was born in early Autumn of the tenth year of King Maolmhuire’s reign by his wife and queen, Lady Ermengarde of Lower Lorraine. Three brothers preceded her in birth, two of which had been born to her father’s concubines and the eldest a full-brother born of her mother. Two full-sisters subsequently followed her, among various illegitimate siblings of either sex. As the oldest true-born daughter of the king, the most prestigious match was arranged for her the moment she left the wetnurse’s breast. At the age of two she was officially betrothed to the crown prince of West Francia, an advantageous match that provided West Francia with Alba’s more ancient royal blood and Alba with a strong military ally against its southern neighbors: Northumbria, Mercia, and Wessex. Tutors were brought in to educate her in the ways of French culture and history as well as the French, German, Occitan, and Latin languages.

Furthermore, her devotion to the Roman Catholic faith was stressed in order to present the recently converted Albian royal family as pious to the rest of Europe. Many in Skotland still held Celtic Pagan beliefs, and as such it was deeply rooted into the culture, and therefore not completely inseparable. Practicing certain traditions as well as cultural attire would lead to speculation concerning the sincerity of her fervor later in life, for which she’d have to compensate. At the age of thirteen she departed Fife and set sail for Calais, where she was introduced to the court and joined the queen’s household until the time of her marriage a year later to Prince Dietrich. King Bero III warmly welcomed his daughter-in-law to be, but the reception from Queen Hildegard was notably cooler. The two women learned to tolerate one another through mutual love of family, but never for love of one another.

The relationship between the princess and her fiancé was initially pleasant but formal as the prince was nearly six years her senior; nonetheless, a great show was made of their courtship much to the delight of the onlookers…and Alysanne. They were wed in a grand ceremony in Paris and their coupling was witnessed by hundreds of courtiers, in which both were noted for their vigor. It proved to be a happy union, both seemingly cared for one another and shared many similar interests. Less than a year after the marriage took place, King Bero was fatally wounded while hunting and Prince Dietrich assumed the throne as King Dietrich IV. The new king was crowed in Paris in just a few months, but the queen’s coronation was delayed due to her confinement awaiting the birth of their first child—Princess Amicia. Shortly after, Alysanne was crowned at Reims Cathedral.

Dietrich’s early reign is noted for its peacefulness and affluence, aside from inconsistent raiding along the northern shores by Vikings. Alliances were secured with both Burgundy and the kingdom of Galicia, the latter of which the young queen helped to broker by securing a marriage to Dietrich’s younger brother and a Galician infanta—despite the Queen Mother’s objections to the match. This provided West Francia with a strong ally closer to home, and gave Galicia a shot at having a close kinsmen potentially inherit the neighboring kingdom. Nonetheless, the younger prince was displaced as heir following the birth of a son to the king and queen just two years after the succession, Crown Prince Odo.

The birth of the crown prince had proven to be straining on the queen’s body, but the king insisted on resuming conjugal relations sooner than was advised. She conceived again in less than a year’s time but suffered greatly throughout the pregnancy from bouts of nausea as well as crippling sciatic pain. Twin sons were delivered prematurely, one dying within the week while the other larger boy lasted a year before dying in his cradle. Post-partum depression worsened matters causing Alysanne to become withdrawn and refuse to make appearances. It was soon discovered that the king had taken up with a mistress and fathered a healthy bastard. This led to a falling out, but the king’s brother and chancellor successfully reconciled the couple, who were soon expecting again.

Dietrich’s taste for whoring only grew with time, but this did not quench his desire to secure the inheritance of his kingdom with many legitimate sons. One miscarriage followed the other as well as a stillborn before a small but healthy daughter was born, Princess Brigid. However, the celebrations surrounding the child’s birth and health were short-lived as a frost ravaged Europe, destroying crops and leading to starvation. A respiratory illness accompanied the frost, sweeping across the land and taking with it the lives of nearly a tenth of the population. The aristocracy sequestered themselves behind their high walls, but the plague spread faster than they could manage to escape.

“The Sweat,” or so they called it, seemed to affect males more harshly than females and discriminated against neither peasant nor lord…nor prince…The robust and handsome little prince Odo fell victim to the sickness, wasting away in his bed for a fortnight before dying in his mother’s arms. Alysanne’s screams could be heard as far as England, or so the singers say. Not long after he was laid to rest in the royal crypt than was his father struck down, confined his bedchamber with only his wife and mother allowed to enter, apart from the dark-masked physicians and priests swinging sage to purify the air. Dutifully, the queen remained at her husband’s side until he breathed his last breath, and the crown was passed to his younger brother and the Galician infanta. If Alysanne’s cries were heard in England, Hildegard’s were heard in the Holy See itself, for she lost not one but two sons that day. Mere hours after becoming king, Vaefar I too succumbed to The Sweat, leaving yet another brother king—Adalman II.

The widowed queen surrendered the crown jewels, apart from those gifted to her person by the king or belonging to her dowry, and retreated to her dower estate with her two remaining children and fellow dowager queen, the Galician infanta. Within a month, whatever strange plague had overtaken the nation was appeased and took its leave. Some level of normalcy has been restored to the realm, though the kingdom is greatly weakened compared to its former strength. The once infrequent and insignificant Viking raids have grown in frequency and significance. Alysanne and her little family have chosen to distance themselves from the royal court, to mourn their losses and to escape the reach of the Queen Mother, who truly controlled the realm now.

A siren in the flesh, Lucrezia d’Touraine is a stunning young woman in her early twenties. She has fair skin, blue eyes, long golden hair, and a pear-shaped figure with small breasts and lushly rounded hips. Not one to shy from attention, she accentuates these features with tightly laced clothing and perilously low necklines dancing upon the line of appropriate or not. She makes use of creams and oils to keep her skin baby-soft and youthful, as well as avoiding direct-sunlight as much as possible. In order to remain trim and firm, she rides horses and walks daily, though her small stature and overall appetite keep her from intaking too much.

Besides French, she speaks Occitan, Italian, and Latin. Lucrezia speaks French with the famously "pure" Touraine accent, making her very easy to understand. Furthermore, she is a master at the arts of conversation and seduction, able to read even the blankest of canvases for emotional reaction or charge and steer the dialogue in the direction of her choosing. Aware of the effect she has on others she uses her wiles to get what she wants from them and is not above utilizing her body to further these advances. During the early tenth century the Duke of Berry sought to establish better relations with the papacy as a safeguard against his liege, the king of West Francia. Therefore, he arranged for his son and heir, Renaud Comte de Touraine to marry into the notoriously powerful Tusculum family in Rome, who held a firm grasp upon the Bishops of Rome and thus the Christian world as a whole. A match was agreed upon between Renaud and Pia of Tusculum, who were of an age with one another, and the two were wed in 933. Less than a year later they welcomed the birth of a daughter, born prematurely and small but otherwise in good health, naming her Lucrezia for the new comtesse’s mother, Lucrezia de 'Medici. Other children were born of the couple in successive years, though only Lucrezia survived into adulthood.

Like her mother, the lady was educated with a primary focus in intrigue, as it was often the woman’s place in an Italian household to keep abreast of all the ongoings of the estate and among the servants/vassals while the men focused on stewardship and banking pursuits. She also mirrored Pia’s interest in herbalism, taking up the hobby at a young age and documenting what she learned or discovered on her own in journals—particularly poisons or those with psychedelic properties. Rumor has it she poisoned her own brothers, Jacques and François, in order to supplant them in the line of succession to their father and grandfather’s titles.

It was widely expected that Lucretia would be married into the royal family of West Francia, by way of either Dietrich or Vaefar; however, both matches were overlooked in favor of royal brides, which House Touraine viewed as a snub. When her maternal uncle ascended to the papacy as John XII offers came for Queen Mother Hildegarde’s children by her second marriage but were disregarded citing that other matches were being considered already.

Following the death of her father she succeeded to the county of Touraine at the age of fourteen, which was governed by her grandfather the Duke until he too passed away three years later. Her mother was regent for a year, given Lucrezia was seventeen, and handed over the reigns of government upon her eighteenth birthday. Lucrezia traveled to Paris to swear her fealty to King Dietrich IV after coming into her estate and assuming full power there.

Though she plays an active role in the governance of the duchy, she delegates areas in which she is lacking to those with professional backgrounds in such, compensating them well for effectiveness and discretion. While her current councilors have been in place for a solid year and a half, their predecessors served much shorter tenures, yet another rumor alleges she had them poisoned or murdered until she found ones that better suited her purposes and could keep their mouths shut regarding her personal lives. One specific instance involved a marshal claiming that she had borne a bastard child to either the king or some non-specific noble. The account could never be verified because the man was found dead, foaming at the mouth, supposedly having been possessed.

In more recent times she received orders from the crown to send aide to the region of Normandy, which was under attack by foreign invaders. While she complied and agreed to do so, she made certain that the bulk of those selected were those of mediocre performance during training or those with connections to her enemies at the court in Bourges (capital of Berry). Any losses were attributed to the duke/king Vaefar and his bereaved wife, Genevieve of Wessex, though such rhetoric is said to have originated in the brothels and convents—both of which are under the patronage of the duchess of Berry.

Estreca's pharaoh is a level-headed and calculating individual, perceived as cold and ruthless by some yet spellbindingly charming to all. She presents a carefully constructed image to the public, guided by wisdom, and steadied by virtue and realism, checking all the boxes expected from her office. An avid reader and reputed erudite, she eases between topics of conversation, switching material or even language as needed to better suit her audience. As such, she surrounds herself and the royal court with scholars and philosophers, relying upon their advice and enjoying their company. Those who encounter her often note her mellifluous speaking voice and overall magnetism as being ultimately irresistible. Rather than mincing words or offering flowery overtones to seem pleasant, she speaks her mind and offers concrete evidence to support her beliefs.

On the twenty-fourth of September Pharaoh Amsukarae and his Great Royal Wife Sepuntepet welcomed their second born child and first daughter into the world, trumpets blasted and the people cried out with laud to celebrate the birth of Princess Neferkaraé Ahmanet Sarkiadi—destined to become the consort to her older brother Crown-Prince Hefuphyeyr. Together the brother and sister would continue the dynasty that had ruled over the lands of Estreca for nigh on six centuries without interruption. Festivities and parades lasted for weeks and her name was carved into the stone walls of temples across the land, given the ideaology that the monarchs of Estreca were an embodiment of the gods this was common-practice for children born of any Pharaoh's "divine," incestuous, marriage. The events took place during the flooding of the Ios River, further cementing the belief that the birth was the result of divine blessing.

Thirteen years later the imperial family was struck by tragedy, having received news that the crown prince had fallen from his horse while riding and smashed his head into a rock. Hefuphyeyr's death was deeply mourned by the Estrecan people; however, there was some relief that the gods had seen fit to spare his sister and heir. She was hailed as his widow, though they had not consummated the marriage due to their premature age, which served to further boost her popularity and acceptance as legal successor. Furthermore, no marriage contracts were arranged, as highborn dowagers in Estreca were under no legal obligation to re-enter into one outside their choosing, and the image served only to boost royal acclaim anyway.  

Like any highborn woman, Neferkaraé received the best education money could afford with focuses on language, economics, law, philosophy, geography, mathematics, literature, and science. Furthermore, she spent a great deal of time alongside her late father, Pharaoh Amsukarae, in preparation for her role as successor. She attended summits with foreign dignitaries, presided over civil matters, and learned the ways of intrigue as is necessary to function successfully in the ravenous world of politics. Furthermore, given the expectation that the sovereign is to be able to command the military forces, she was placed within the barracks under anonymity for a time to train alongside the nation's women at arms, as well as being drilled in the art of warfare by leading commanders. The handmaidens selected to accompany her were similarly trained so that they might later function as additional bodyguards to her royal person.  

Shortly after her nineteenth birthday, Neferkaraé ascended the imperial throne of Estreca as the second pharaoh of her name. Her father Amsukaraé XI died following complications of a lingering respiratory illness, and his will had reiterated his wish that the line of succession not be altered to favor a male successor. Furthermore, the new pharaoh declared that she had no immediate intent to remarry in spite of rumors circulating that she would wed another of her brothers, Prince Korvu whose mother was the sister of the Sultan of Arabis-Petraea. This assertion further inflamed the frustration of the prince’s mother, Dowager Princess Consort Vashti, who was already much aggrieved that her son had been passed over for a female in the line of inheritance.

In retaliation for what she perceived to be a slight, Princess Vashti started a faction at court, spreading a rumor that Neferkaraé had altered their father’s will. The courtiers were divided, for the native Estrecans saw no issue with absolute cognatic primogeniture as it had been the norm for several millennia; however, there were those who benefitted from trade with Arabis-Petraea or feared its sultan enough to favor keeping good relations with Vashti and her son. Functioning as her daughter’s spymaster, word reached Empress Mother Sepuntepet that troops and supplies were being amassed in order to form a rebellion, and so she reported it immediately to the vizier. As a result, Vashti was placed under house arrest with every comfort, Korvu was sent off to serve in the navy, the supplies were burned, and the nobles that supported them were executed and replaced with loyalists. For a time, this solution worked, but the dowager princess never forgave Sepuntepet for foiling her plans.

With support from her allies in Arabis and those that had managed to remain hidden at court in Tarnouhken, Vashti plotted her escape as well as the death of the dowager empress, knowing a direct attack on the pharaoh herself would be beyond redemption. Years passed, but when the time was right she struck. An assassin pushed Sepenteput from a high balcony to the limestone floor of the courtyard below. Unbeknowst to the killer, the dowager had been expecting a lover, who entered the rooms just as the alarm was raised and the killer moved to flee. Torture extracted the details of who had employed them quickly enough, but Vashti had already fled. As neatly as she’d plotted the murder, so had she done her own escape. Within a matter of days she was intercepted making her way toward the desert of Mitkalan and brought before Neferkaraé. Given her rank and political ties, Vashti had expected some degree of clemency regarding her crimes, but upon arriving in the throne room she was strangled by two guards and thrown into the river. A summons was sent to Prince Korvu to return to the capital at once.

Freydis is an ideal Norse female specimen, though to call her such might result in one's untimely demise. She is fair of skin and hair, with eyes like a frozen fjord. Her body is lean and fit from battle-practice and raids, with lush feminine curves. Though aware of her beauty she values it more for a distraction than an asset, and will not hesitate to become drenched in blood and mud, or covered in scars.



She is fiercely protective of those she loves or those who cannot stand up for themselves, to include her brother Haakon and the people of Ravensthorpe and would gladly lay down her life to defend theirs. It is her personal belief that every woman should possess the ability to defend herself, which she enforces on the women who surround her. Despite her gruff demeanor, she can be very affectionate to those she deems worthy; however, those who cross her need fear for their lives and all those they love. None could ever mistake her for a diplomat, for she speaks her mind without filter or care for however the blows land. Freydis was the youngest daughter of Jarl Olof Magnarsson and his shieldmaiden bride Idra, daughter of Sigurd The Snake Eye (Son of Ragnar Lothbrok and Aslaug). From the moment she could grasp a blade firmly in her hand she was trained to become a shieldmaiden, training alongside her mother and the other warriors at Fornburg. Many joke that she was raiding before she could speak in complete sentences, though this is perhaps an exaggeration. She was taught to read and write, as well as manage and defend a large estate--raids work both ways after all.


Following the death of her mother, with whom she was particularly close, remaining in Fornburg was only painful, so at the first suggestion of her brother Haakon to sail westward she leapt, following him to Britain and helping settle Ravensthorpe. She managed the colony in his absence, standing in as Jarl and stepping back aside upon his return. She knew every stone, person, and stalk of grain associated with the settlement like the back of her hand and made frequent rounds to oversee its status and fortifications.

Étaín is classic beauty, mirroring her mother's soft feminine features and father's fair coloring. Her cheekbones are high and sculpted under close-set rounded eyes of blue-green. Her face is oval shaped with a strong chin and slender neck to support it. Waves of bright ginger red fall gracefully down her back to her waist, complimenting her cool toned alabaster complexion. The lightest sprinkling of freckles lines her cheeks, nose, and the backs of her hands--the only areas with prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Her figure is comparable to the statues of Venus lining the Roman ruins across the realm, slender but not slim with full breasts, a curved waist, and a supple rounded butt. Her hips are wideset and fit for birthing sons without the worry of getting stuck in the birth canal. Despite her comfortable life, she is relatively strong and naturally muscled; although, frequent exercise and horseback riding help to maintain and enhance this.  

As for her character, she is as refined and graceful as any woman of noble or royal breeding. The Princess Étaín of Alba was born to King Alpín and his lady wife Otha of Bebbanburgh a Northumbrian noblewoman, in the autumn of 818 A.D. She was the youngest of his four legitimate children and was therefore brought up at the royal court of Scone within the palace walls. All the king's children received the same basic education, though the girls focused more on needlework and prayers rather than swordplay like their brothers. All were taught to be fine horsemen and women. For companionship, the king included his numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and bastard offspring in the royal nursery.

Furthermore, she frequented her childhood winters with her mother in Northumbria to escape the harsh chill of Alba (as well as her mother's general distaste for her brutish husband its king). During this time, she formed close relationships with her maternal kin, whom she would often visit later on. However, during her teens she was sent to be fostered by the Duke of Moray in the Highlands, promised to be wed to his son. After two years the boy withered of illness before the match could ever take place and she was returned to Scone. This turn of events disturbed her little as she'd never particularly cared for the duke's son in the first place, and as the king's youngest daughter the primary attention was on her older siblings for matches anyway.

As she entered into adulthood the matter of marriage resurfaced once again, though out of affection for her and fondness for her company, King Constantine never truly pressed the issue. Étaín was a popular figure at court at often stood in place for her mother as hostess at events. At this point, Queen Otha had decided that her duty to the king was complete, he had his heir, spares, and two daughters, so she primarily resided at Stirling Castle away from "oaf-king" and court where she was entertained by her garden and lap dogs. Étaín traveled between Scone and Stirling often to oversee her parents' wellbeing.

In the early days of her youth Lady Aelinor was short and squat with a round freckled face, earning her the unfortunate nickname "spots." The other noble boys and girls teased her mercilessly until one day, seemingly overnight, the mother or maiden one heard her pleas and she shot up in height and the pudginess of childhood formed the feminine curves of a woman's body. Only the faintest dusting of freckles remain dusted across the bridge of her nose while the rest of her skin is fair and clear. She is every inch the traditional Tully woman, with thick auburn hair and deep watery-blue eyes.

Like any young woman brought in up a great house, her mannerisms and speech are refined and well-tuned. She carries herself with a swan-like grace, seeming to float everywhere she goes rather than walk. Her voice is soft and warm like summer rain, even at its loudest. Though her passion remains untested, she is not prone to emotional outbursts or acting in any particular way that might intentionally call attention upon herself. Lady Aelinor Tully is the firstborn daughter of Lord Bryen Tully The Lord Paramount of The Trident and his second wife, Lady Cerillia Lannister of Lannisport. She was preceded in birth by an older brother, Hartwell Tully, born of their father's first wife Lady Daenys Velaryon, and subsequently followed by two full-sisters and a brother. She began her days at the Tully family's ancient seat of Riverrun, where she was classically educated and trained to behave like a noblewoman before being fostered by her kinsmen at Casterly Rock in the Westerlands, where she served as a cupbearer. At her parents' behest, she learned to read and speak High Valyrian as well as to play the high harp and lyre, as any sophisticated woman does in a land ruled by the silver-haired and violet-eyed Targaryen's. Upon the completion of her fostering, she returned home to Riverrun where she is completing her ladies' education of learning to manage a household under the watchful eye of her mother.

While she was away, her father and elder brother were also gone fighting a war in the Iron Islands to reclaim them for the Iron Throne. Therefore, once she was able to manage the task on her own, Aelinor fully undertook her mother's role as stewardess of the Riverlands and hostess of Riverrun while Cerillia ruled as regent. Though the time had come to consider marital arrangements for Aelinor, the ongoing war and her usefulness at home delayed the matter longer than was normal for a woman born of one of the Great Houses of Westeros. However,  Daenerian Law did protect young women from being married off too soon by pushing the age to ten and eight, but Aelinor was past that by two years at twenty.
