TheoryCrafter: Breaking the eerie silence Nero emerged into the Collective as a violet and blue haze spun around his frame soon rippling away fading into the void. Nero scanned the exotic platform amongst the cells. Pillars of energy twisted over head as each of them conjoined into a massive pool creating an aberration of calm, collected energy which flowed gracefully emitting a powerful hue of violet. Perhaps the depiction of color only accommodated Nero's presence. He made his way to a raised platform and placed his palm firmly upon a highlighted beveled indention into this platform. Closing his eyes he tapped into his psyche, the fixed platform he drew power from enhancing the gamma waves Nero's cognition. Throughout the Universe Nero searched, looking for a familiar friend, a friend he once shared a cell with by the U.G.A. (United Galaxy Alliance). He knew him by 'Gage' and soon after getting acquainted they broke out of prison together which was the last he saw him, though he promised Gage it would not be the last they met, Nero had plans in the making at the time which would involve his newfound friend, however he did not know it would be under these current circumstances. Finally a familiar signal was located on a far away planet. “Gage, it's been a long time. Do you remember when I told you after we broke out of the drudger pits that it would not be the last time we saw each other? It's time you and I meet again, you aren't safe. No one is safe, and if you want to survive what is to come it's time you join us.” Nero opened his eyes cutting off his neural link to Gage's only leaving a pull on Gage's psyche in which would have lead him to the capital of Profane Creation. He only hoped Gage an old friend would have listened. Slowly he slid his palm off the platform as light coils of energy wrapped around his knuckles before dissipating. It was all so sudden, a surge of emotion was felt throughout his being. In a fit of rage Nero thrashed out into the void as a crackling ripple of energy boomed into the Halls of Profane, only he did not care about damaging anything around him. Sure enough his reformation caused the surrounding area to singe and shatter leaving a rich glowing residue in his wake that seemingly evaporated into the atmosphere. “ They're already among us..We have to act quickly..” Nero's facial features reflecting his built up rage. Eagerly ready for his second showdown with this powerful entity. Even with the power bestown within Dominic and Nero alone, this was not enough to take on something of this calibre alone without destroying theirselves in the process. Nero turned away from Dominic and Fallon trying to make sense of the situation before turning back to them gazing over at Dominic simply stating with a tone of certainty, "It's time." Nero and Dominic had discussed prior to these events that this was going to happen eventually. Nero without explanation knew that Dominic would have understood exactly what he meant; It was time for the select few Nero and Dominic had been watching to bare the Mark of the Collective. Knowing that these selected few were possibly not ready they had no choice, war was coming.

It was a small lab, or possibly a mechanics shop, it was hard to really tell what it used to be after the world it came from crumbled and shattered, a piece being flung to Mythos much like everything else within the Realm. A collection of dying and shatter fragments of worlds long since forgotten. Walking through the dimly lit corridor, Gage yawned and scratched the back of his head before dipping his hand inside his long black coat and pulled out two almost empty cylinders that contained only 4-5 small tablets left inside, it was time for a refill. Shaking the tubes for a moment as if to confirm his requirement, Gage lowered his right hand to his side and turned another corridor. The place was like a maze if you did not know where to go, and just why the woman he sought decided to tuck herself way in the back he’d never know.

As he reached his destination, Gage kicked the door open and stepped inside. This room was a little more illuminated, what with the small sparks of equipment and luminescent vials of some concoction. The female he came to see, Lux, was an odd person at the best of times, and her constant jumping between nature and machines caused Gage to wonder just what kind of place she had come from. Stepping closer, his single working eye spotted the other male of their little trio, Archon, asleep on a couch in the corner. It was rare for the 3 to be separate since their encounter years ago, though they still needed their time apart. This time it was Gage’s turn to roam, though his need for the drug only Lux could replicate always had him returning rather promptly.

A couple of feet into the room and Gage stopped dead in his tracks, his single eye darting around the room as something, or someone, spoke directly into his mind. It was one of the only times he could ‘hear’ a voice, though it was more a flash of images then anything. The person was Nero, a male he had met back on Gage’s home world during a stint in prison when some travelling space pirates started trouble. Both Gage and Nero had broken free of their confines and it was not long after that when Gage’s planet was destroyed and he ended up in Mythos. Never did he think that that man would summon him for a coming trouble, though Gage did owe him a debt and he was never one to not repay such.

Tossing the small tablet tubes down on the table in front of Lux as she stared at her screens, Gage knocked on the metal surface. Being deaf, he couldn’t speak, or rather wouldn’t. Not being able to hear one’s own voice made it difficult, but not impossible, Gage just preferred never to do so. Grunting was also a preferred method of communication and when he did, and got the females attention, a few quick signs were made with his now free hand as the other gripped tight to his katana. ‘We need to leave Mythos. I need to get to another world. You two need to come with me. We need to leave now.’ Each sentence was short, to the point. There was no wasted if and am’s when one talks with sign language and Gage needed to get to Profane asap and if anyone could do something like that, it would be Lux.

“A storm is loosed upon the sea whose eyes are stained with tears. A wretch Hell-bound bent on blood, the makings of the fearful's fears.
The tide it stole away his grace, the depths, they wouldn't claim him. A toil begat by father's blood, this path was laid before him.
Redemption borne by brigand's blood, a blight upon the darkness, the pact embraced, a road unsought. The Lord of Death won't be unwrought.
His wrath is known throughout the black, the gardens of death he is tending. Vengeance is his only ward, Beware the blood red rose's thorn.”

Rain lightly tapped against his face as he tried to make out that in front of him, the world at the moment was nothing more than a bloody blur, and as the soft sung words passed over him like the wind the scene in front soon became clear as white hues finally focused. All around him men were rushing at each other, swinging their swords, protecting their allies and killing those that stood in the way of their charge. The scene unfolded faster than it was before finally Archon made his move from the dirt to the sands, the men at his side rushed with him but unlike their General they yelled at the top of their voices, which seemed to do well in building their courage for the slaughter that was to come. Like opposing waves in the ocean both forces collided into each other and the bloodshed continued as the young General and his men laid waste to the opposing faction. As the rain washed off the blood of one man more would soon follow until he was covered in death, his spear showed no mercy, his aim no fault, but his eyes held a sorrow in them that were uncommon in someone who had massacred thousands. Thunder struck in the sky followed by the exploding brightness of lightning, for a second the blooded beach was illuminated and the bodies of the dead could be seen clear as day, though this didn’t stop wave after wave of soldiers stepping over their brethren in order to continue the fight; nor would it stop Atlanthean force from continuing to eradicate the people who would invade their lands. Unlike the attacking the group the General and his men fought as a unit, to see them fight together would bring to mind a well-oiled machine, each singular part doing its job in order for the entity as a whole to work perfectly.

Outside in the Realm of Mythos if anyone had paid particular attention to the male currently asleep on the couch surely they would have noticed the beads of sweat dripping down his forehead, face and hands as the heat of his body continued to rise according to harsh memory that was currently playing like a video in his dreams. A heavy bang in the background caused his body to react and on instinct alone he sat up in a panic and forced his presence out into the realm. A sphere of grey pushed out from his body and enveloped the entire room, and almost instantly the life force would begin draining from them, small plants around the room withered, any colour in the room was lost and the radiance of the plants that Lux kept in order to make Gage his pills vanished as grey took over and signified the withering of vitality. Still panting and trying to pull his thoughts from the memory he’d just relived, Archon finally opened his eyes and searched the area with a glance, and the instant he found Gage and Lux in the vicinity he pulled the monochrome aura back into his body and stood up from the couch.

The words were passing through his mind so rapidly that he couldn’t spit them from his mouth, the people in front of him had been around going on four years and before them there were no others that he’d come to like in this place. Sure people came and went like the wind but that wasn’t the case for these two; and Archon had never cared to question why. Like a man who took on the responsibility of everyone around him without question, Archon’s brows narrowed in defeat, there wasn’t much that ever changed about his facial features but this was one of them. At this point Archon didn’t know how much he’d hurt the two, he knew they wouldn’t be in life threatening condition but that wasn’t the point. To some even a few seconds inside the Monochrome Aura was enough to drain them of energy for days, sometimes even much worse than that as it could stifle powers, block self-regeneration abilities and much more.

PostSubject: Re: [HoM to Profane] The Calling   Tue Aug 08, 2017 1:53 pm

When she was thinking, Lux braided her hair. If it was already braided, the braids came undone and found themselves in a new pattern of braids. Thinking for the past hour had rendered her full head of curly brown locks into a disheveled mass of braids. The old leather chair she sat in, had once been plush and comfy. It was still comfy enough to sit in for hours staring at those blue back-lit holo-screens full of ongoing information. Skimatics, formulas, languages, terra information, it was all there. Some new, some not, but it was all there. Her chin rested on the knee of the leg that was perched at the edge of her once comfy chair. As per her usual attire, she was wearing her mecha boots. They'd been black for a week now, along with her mecha arm, and the color was starting to warm up on her. Braids fell around her face, gathering in a pile at her knee.

She bit her lip, the techno'd remix of 'Cats Don't Dance', 'I Won't Dance' and 'Summer Wind' domed in the small clustered room in a bevy of sound. It didn't match the muted eighties version of 'Red Sonja' playing on one screen or the never ending string of code on the rest. The steady intact of information, drew her eyebrows together in thought, and rolled her lips between themselves and her lower teeth. Finally, Lux pushed back from her table enough to twist the seat to the desk beside her.

"I won't dance. Don't ask me. I won't dance, madame with you." She sung softly, pushing wayward braids over her shoulder as she squinted into a screen. The information flashing across the screen, whirled through her mind, though not in the conventional sense. It was as though as information was being uploaded to each of her makeshift servers a back up file was loading directly into her brain. Similarly, even while Lux never touched a keyboard when her fingers moved or danced across the memory of one, the screens responded in kind. There were times when mere blinks from her causes windows to open, close or move. If you were really listening and watching, the flicker of lights coincided with the soft rise and fall of her breathing, the screens seemed to follow her movement from one desk to another. She was connected to every piece of equipment in her make-shift lab as if it were part of her own body.

Behind her, a shadow stretched across the many flashing lights in the room. She didn't have to turn to know which one of her boys had just entered, after all one was asleep on the couch easing into another one of the many nightmares he refused to talk about and the other, well he had a certain presence about him. It was as if his aura was heavier, well to Lux anyway, to everyone else he was ghost that passed silently through walls.

He knocked on the table prompting Luxia to hold up a finger in wait. There was a long pause before she finally turned to watch his fingers and hands move quickly with his preferred method of speech. ‘We need to leave Mythos. I need to get to another world. You two need to come with me. We need to leave now.’

Jumping out of her chair on onto her feet, Lux slapped the table, rattled the plethora of pill bottles on it's top. "Fuck yeah! This is perfect timing! You know that dark matter we found? The possibilities of its use are almost endless but there is one use I've been fiddling with and just as I think we're ready for human trials you bring me this!" Her hands cupped his face,"Oh Gage, it's perfect!"

She gave his face a squeeze and released him, probably sending his body rocketing back upright since she was so much smaller than he was. It didn't seem to matter to Lux that both her boys were massive brooding monsters; killing machines. She man-handled them, she squeezed them, she mothered them.

Just as the petite woman turned to rouse Archon from his restless nap, he shot up to a sitting position, causing her to bolt to his side, but it was too late. Just as her fingers wrapped around his forearm, the grey aura of death that he emitted began to consume the room. It forced the world around Lux to not only turn black and white but slow down to almost a halt as well. It was hard to breath, it took full concentration to continue turning her head to face him. Getting her jaw to work was painful and heavy. This wasn't the first time the aura had almost killed them, however since being in Mythos, Lux's physical compacity for taking abuse had more than doubled. She surmised lasting so long in her own dying world without food or water more often than not meant she was a little stronger than the average human being to start with, then Mythos started to corrupt or correct her natural make up and made her stronger, faster, more agile than before. All of that was well and good, but Gage. Gage was constantly dying. Everytime Archon freaked out it took a toll.

As quickly as it came it went. The moment Archon was fully awake the aura dissipated. Lux let out a breath, her body having been mid motion when the aura took over the room, continued on, reaching for his face. She brushed sweat from his forehead and smiled,"Everything's alright."

Patting his hand, Lux got up and went to Gage.

Gage had no concept of what singing was in the, emotional sense. All he could tell, whenever Lux sang along to her myriad of songs from her old world, her words seems to elongate, reach higher pitches and the structure of her sentences were, odd, not normal. Also, there was a lot of things about animals and dancing, it was all very strange, though Gage could almost follow along word for word, every song that Lux copied as she twirled around her little work space.

As the petite little energizer bunny cupped his face, Gage's features scrunched up. Most of the time he had a grumpy outward appearance, though it never fazed the small female like it use to everyone on his old world. This woman though, she would cuddle a dragon and treat it like a puppy, there was no fear in her eyes, or wariness, though she was also no fool. Taking a half step back once she released him, Gage fixed his eye patch and grunted. Looks like he was in luck, he could get to Profane, though with what she said, Gage was a little cautious. It had not been that long since they had found that Dark Matter, and he was sure she had never tested it on a living entity. Sighing, he brushed his hand through his blond hair, though just as he was about to go crash on another couch, Archon's outburst happened again.

Grunting, Gage gripped the table in front of him as the Monochrome aura suffocated the room. It was not the first time they were subjected to this power, but Lux was rarely caught in it from what Gage saw. Gage's eyes flicked to the plants used to create his medicine as he watched them wither and die. The monochrome affect on his body was intense, not only was his body trying to battle the constant affects of the drug trying to kill him, the added strain of the aura was almost crippling, not that he would show it openly. Balling his free hand into a fist, Gage punched the desk leaving a sizable dent at the same moment that Archon retracted the aura. A bead of sweat had trickled down his nose. That power was indeed deadly, and also a pain in the ass if not dealt with quickly. Standing upright, Gage walked towards where the other male sat, watching his rise to his feet and Lux leaving his side, walking towards the approaching Jackal.

Three steps left, then two, one. Bang. Gage punched Archon directly on the forehead, knocking the male back onto the couch. Both of them were basically the same height and weight, but Archon was in a slight daze and Gage was pissed off. There were no hand signals to express his annoyance at the mans outburst, only a tilt of his head and a glare that spoke more words than that. Those words mainly being, 'Get your shit together, you got Lux caught in it this time dumb ass.'

Without waiting for a rebuttal or reply, Gage turned, and a moment later collapsed his large muscular frame into the same seat Lux had just stood from. It was an incredibly comfortable chair, and it was no wonder she rarely left it, though she was so busy bopping around the area now that he was sure she wouldn't mind, maybe.

Gage's eyes looked to the screens that she constantly stared at day in day out. Nothing on them made sense, even the movie that she watched, a lot, was strange and the haircuts left a lot to be desired for. Letting out a long breath, Gage relaxed. It was nice not to have to sit against a stone wall or crumbled pile of mass once in a while.

Even as Luxia brushed the beads of sweat from his forehead and gave him the soothing smile she always seemed to wear he still couldn’t help the weight he felt inside his chest. For all lives he had taken over the years, even though he was raised to be a warlord in the Atlanthean army, he still very much identified as a protector. Stepping in front of danger in order to save someone, be it friend or stranger was something that no beating or bloodied regimen could take from him, after all if someone had stood in front of him as a child then his entire life may have changed for the better. Lux turned and walked away from the Atlanthean, his eyes knowingly shifting to Gage as the Jackal made his stride across the room, ready to pounce for the protection of another; they may have been similar in some aspects but in others they were complete opposites. With a thud Gage’s fist slammed against Archon’s forehead, sending his body backwards and into the couch he’d just rose from, his head tilted backwards, eyes closed over and perfectly still like you would expect of someone who had just been sent flying by a punch.

Whether he was taking cues from the old movies Lux watched and playing dead around the threat of danger our just taking the time out he deserved Archon remained in that state for a few more seconds, till the point where he heard Gage sitting down on the other end of the room; it was now clear and safe to stand back up. His right hand brushed against his forehead, unlike most of his body neither his face nor head were covered in the dark fabric that made up his attire so now he was sporting a red mark on his forehead that looked very much like the outline of a large fist. Sure with his eyes closed over he may have missed Gage’s warning head tilt and glare but he was well aware of what the punch was for. Bringing his thumb and middle finger from his eyes to the bridge of his nose he brushed the sleep from them, took a few seconds to gather his thoughts and make sure he still remembered his own name after the assault that had just taken place and finally he spoke, his unnatural scratchy white hues landing on The Dealer as he did so.

“Did I hear you mention the dark matter? What situation are we in now? Has the fan become covered in shit once more?” The last question to leave his lips clearly wasn’t worded correctly, though this was partially due to his attempted adaptation of twenty first century English and the sayings of that time; something that was bound to happen after countless nights spent watching movies in the magical box that Luxia had to reassure him time and time again, weren’t apparitions of evil with hobbits hiding inside.

Seconds ticked by as his questions lingered in the air, his fingers brushed up against his wrist and he turned to look out into her workshop, it had been a few days since she’d pulled his bracers off his arms and told him she was ready to upgrade them with interspatial tech; though after her long explanation of how it worked and the rules that went with them Archon had just simplified it in his head that he’d be able to carry items inside each bracer without feeling their weight on his body; they were rather perfect for the world hunter.

As Lux stood away from Archon in order to get to Gage, Gage was already on a stampede toward them. He brushed completely past her and before she could catch his arm, his fist connected squarely with Archon's forehead. She stood between the two and threw her arms into the air in defeat. Her boys could be rather difficult. Neither of them were very good at being nice. They both had tempers. They were both very powerful and sometimes couldn't control it. They were both protective and in their own ways they were both very sweet. There were times when they were even funny, even if they didn't mean to be. Lux loved her boys. They were all she had in the world and all she needed but they were difficult.

Releasing an exaggerated sigh as her arms came down, Lux started to move when Gage did. Troublemaker number one, also known as Jackal, flopped into her chair, her comfy chair. Normally, she would have raced him to the chair just for funsies but right now her mind was on the dark matter reactor she'd stolen from half functioning AI in a building many chunks of land masses away from their chosen hidey-hole. Stealing things from an AI is no easy task. That thing released monsters that had been experimented on, it locked doors and set off lasers. It's complete control of the building was difficult to get around but Luxia managed; with the help of her boys of course. Their complaining the entire way back didn't seem to put a dent in her love for her new toy. The new toy that was going to come in extremely handy getting them from one world to another.

In the realm of Mythos, a universe complied of the death of so many other worlds, the power that kept these dead worlds entangled had also seeped into their very beings. It effected each of them differently. The power seemed bent on corrupting Archon, darkening his good heart. It seemed to enjoy toying with Gage's life, helping him to heal, making him practically immortal but if he went too long without the drugs he'd come here already addicted too, he could suffer a thousand deaths without actually dying. As for Lux? Well, she infused with whatever natural earth was around and any mechanical item she came across. Each of them were enhanced physically, though whether the upsides were worth the downsides was yet to be seen. Whatever the power of Mythos was doing to Luxia on a downside, she kept quietly to herself. Maybe it just made her more of a nut-job.

Then she left her two grunting brats and shuffled into a dark corner of the room, where a single bluish light was flashing steadily. There were wisps of almost living black smoke swirling around three old cryo-tubes. Their doors were hanging open, revealing rather comfortable and new looking padded insulation. Giddy to the point that the air around her trembled, Lux fussed over the controls a bit before she darted back to Gage and grabbed his head again. Her fingers pressed into the temples of his head, and she tilted his head up to stare into his one sunset looking eye. Just before she started to sap him of visual images to get coordinates, Archon spoke and caused Lux to burst into laughter. Her head swung to her second troublemaker,"Yes, dear old man with the young face, the shit has hit the fan. Well, it's about too! We're are outta here!"

Turning back, Lux slammed her forehead against Gage's and pulled the vague and scattered information from him. Her collision caused her to bounce back and dropped to her ass, roll onto hands and knees and scrambled toward the cryo-tubes. The many screens on her desk began to flash new information. They were scrolling through universes until a single screen zoomed on a planet, then a city, then a castle and finally a meeting hall. Each screen was now focused on this single image, coordinates scrolling down the left side.

"BINGO!" Lux squealed in excitement, then began to dart around the room collecting things; usbs, files and all of Gage's medications. She shoved them into a backpack that seemed to have an endless amount of space. Her desk was almost clear when she picked up two heavy black metal gauntlets and flopped down on the couch with Archon. They were his gauntlets, but after a little bit of tweeking and compressing a small universe into stones, Lux was able give Archon the same flat-space tech she used rather frequently. In fact, it was the same tech she used on the backpack to fit basically her entire lab in a bag. Fitting the gauntlets back onto his wrist, Lux took a check of his vitals, then shot him in the neck with a needle she had hidden in her mecha hand. Before Gage could run away, Lux launched at him and even if it took a bit of a struggle did the same to him.

"There!" She said with two fingers on the pulse in her neck, "We're almost ready to go!" When her heart beat evened out, Lux shot herself in the neck as well and pitched the needle casing away. "If there's anything you want to keep toss it into the bag and we are outta here!"

Shifting in the seat, his single eye still watching the screens in front of him, Gage felt fatigue wash over his mind. The aura from Archon had dampened the affects of the drug he needed to take, though it would be a while before the withdrawal affects hit him. Before he fell into a nap, Lux returned and placed two pills back in his hand. Popping one into his mouth, Gage swallowed it without liquid, something he got use too a long time ago, he'd wait a couple more minutes before taking the second dosage.

Gage had come to the conclusion a few years prior that the side affects of the drug he was addicted too had been almost nullified by this realm. Normally a Legacy, as they were known on his world, would only live to their early 30's at best, Gage had surpassed that age. It was not uncommon but very rare, especially with how many times he had abused the overdose high. While he wouldn't suffer the immediate damage, it did shorten his lifespan every time, and before he had been tossed into Mythos, Gage was on his last legs. Now that he could go on, not worrying about dying from the drugs addicting properties, Gage was basically an immortal, though even with the looming threat of death gone, he was still subjected to the withdrawal symptoms which were basically crippling. Though Gage had no idea he had become an immortal, at least not yet. At one stage he even went as far as not taking his drug for almost a month. This was not long after he had met Lux and Archon and his drug had basically run out, the last 2 were given to Lux who eventually replicated it. That month though felt like an eternity, subjected to hallucinations, high fevers, migraines, shaking and randomly falling asleep for days at end. Thankfully now, Lux had a rather vast supply of his drug of choice making his life much less, complicated.

Watching her dart around the office was amusing, more amusing that watching this movie that was playing on her screen. That was until she grabbed his head. Lux was one of a few that Gage allowed to touch him, though whatever she was doing now was a bit strange. His eye flared a moment later as he could almost 'feel' her take the images and information Nero had planted in his mind. This definitely was much easier than using sign language for coordinates.

When she was done, Gage grunted, looking past her to Archon, catching one of his weird commenting attempts at a modern phrase Lux uttered randomly. Just as he was about to remove himself from her grasp, she headbutted him. Rocking back in the chair he growled and rubbed the red mark on his forehead. Leaning forward in the seat as it rocket back to it's normal posture again, Gage glared at her, still rubbing his head with the back of his hand as she crawled away. The view was consolation enough, so he couldn't be too mad. They had all been through a lot together over the last 4 years, so there was little he wouldn't do for her, and even Archon, however begrudgingly.

Gage's eye quirked as she jabbed Archon with something, there was never anything really useful to either himself or Archon when she did that. The last time he almost died and all she did was giggle, there was something seriously wrong with that girl. Sighing he shook his head and started to stand from the chair. There was no way he was going to allow this now, especially with them just about to leave. That, however, was not what happened as Lux launched at him and pinned him back in the seat. Having to focus on not falling over the back of the seat gave her the opening to jab him too. Gage's hand shot to his neck, scowling once more, she didn't even try to run away, still perched on his lap as she even gave herself the same treatment, whatever that was. At least that was a bit promising, she wouldn't be testing something on herself and the other two at the same time, least he hoped not.

Reading her lips, Gage sighed and stood up, forcing Lux to hop off his lap as he took the second dose of his drug and adjusted his jacket. There was nothing he had to bring, the cloths on his back and the weapon in his hand was all he every carried, the drugs were already in the bag. Brushing his hand through his hair, Gage tilted his head and scratched his neck, just waiting to be underway.

Archon had finally been given his bracers back and they were even better than before, even much better than the ring he’d once found in Mythos; it was amazing the kind of things that little Luxia could pull off. It only took a few seconds for her to adjust his bracers and finally they were tightly strapped around his wrists, though seconds later came the unexpected jab on the neck which caused his eyes to narrow on the young female. Time and time again she’d sneakily injected both he and Gage with something and none of those times were pleasant, but she’d never killed them and he had faith that she never would. He watched as she launched herself at Gage, basically jumping on top of him in order to inject him with the same formula that she had just put into himself; though something surprising happened after this and she actually pricked herself with another shot and spoke up about the bag and leaving.

Up until this point Archon hadn’t questioned what had been going on when he woke up but from what he had gathered they were heading somewhere new and leaving Mythos. A spark of hope filled his stomach with nervousness as he took a step forward while adjusting the bracers and the knives attached to them. Ever since he’d ended up countless years ago Archon had been looking for a way out, after all even though the Realm had many places to visit and lots of things to find and take possession of it was rather void of people and you could only walk the same path so many times in life before a new one was needed. Unlike others who visited the Realm of Mythos, Archon was never granted the means of leaving; after all he was the first man other than Mythos himself to end up here and since then he’d been absorbing the Chaotic energy that this place was riddled with, oh how it had changed him.

Like Gage had done Archon walked closer to the center of the room and stopped, everything he needed was either on his back or in the bracers she had just given him and he knew this because he’d left all of his items with her when she had mentioned the space available within the items and even now he could sense what was inside which bracer and how much space he roughly had left till each container was filled. Now he waited and watched Luxia, he was ready to leave this place and curious about where they would end up, which world they’d inhabit next most of all the adventures to come.

Dropped to the floor when Gage stood up, Lux remained there for a moment, rechecking her vitals and syncing the information with the database on her visor. "Welp," she said, standing, "Its been at least thirty seconds and no signs of side effects. I think we're all good. That formula I injected us all with will help us cut through the fabric of time and space that's so jagged around this realm and travel to Gage's destination with ease. By my calculations, we should remain connected to Mythos no matter how far we travel, and a return to this dump would be easy from anywhere." Giving a shrug, Lux went on,"I don't see us wanting to come back though. Anyway," she made a motion to the cyro-tubes," pick a tube, boys, we are off to get into some shit!"

Picking up her backpack, Lux tossed it into the center tube. It had an orb of dark matter floating over her head. Since Luxia only stood to a height of five feet, she barely took up any room in her cryo-tube at all. This allowed her to carry the duffel back and work the dark matter reactor without needing to had extension to the tube for space. She settled herself and ready for take off while the boys squeezed their masses into the other two tubes. It didn't matter which tubes they chose but the lay out of their resting places was they way they always stood or rested. Lux was always between the two monsters that flanked her sides.

"Alright fellas, you're gonna want to put on the oxygen mask and relax. Falling into a near sleeping state will make the ride much more enjoyable. If you need help there are pills in the pocket to the left. When you're ready, just give me a knock."

Ready and waiting, it would only take the push of a button and a thought to initiate the send off. Once the dark matter started to work the tubes would be covered in wisping black smoke until they were completely covered. The matter would then contort and squeeze them right out of the realm, blasting them through space, across an arc path set by her diagnostics to drop them right in to the hall of Profane Creation amidst a rather important meeting. The cryo-tubes would land in the back of the the great hall behind great pillars, the doors automatically opening with a hiss of the hydraulics.

Lux couldn't predict how the other two would have reacted to the travel, but the adrenaline of it actually working enough to stave off the fatigue as she bounced out of the tube and hopped in a circle of happiness. "It worked. It worked. It worked!" She punched the air as if gearing up for a good ol' boxing match then her fist shot into the air. "I am the greatest!"

Gage's mouth fell open for a moment when he saw what Lux had said. She wasn't sure of the reaction her serum would cause yet she gave it to all 3 of them without even knowing what was going to happen. Shaking his head, Gage could only chuckle, she would never change and he would never ask her too.

When they were all packed and ready to go, Gage followed the little ball of energy towards the large tubes she had been working on. It seemed that these were the devices they would use to leave Mythos. Gage had no idea just how they would do it, but he was still surprised that this was the method. Watching Lux situate herself, Gage kept a close eye on her lips as she spoke her instructions. Sometimes it was difficult to keep up with her in order to read her lips, but he had become accustomed too it over the years.

Stepping into the rather cramped tube, Gage looked around, resting his sword by his side but keeping his hand on the handle. His other retrieved the mask he placed over h is mouth. Hesitating for a moment, not really liking such confined spaces, he was about to give a knock on the glass when a figure danced across the screen carrying a sign. It was a short male, shoe-less with hairy feet and odd clothing. The sign he carried read 'We're going on an adventure'. The small male was a hobbit, a race Lux seemed to be a bit too fond of because she seemed to refer to them a lot. It wasn't surprising the small image showed up now. Gage's lip curled at the edge to a smile before he gave the glass a tap. They certainly were going on an adventure.

Leaning his head back, Gage closed his eye, though it only seemed to be a moment later that the Cryo-Tube rattled, crashed and jolted to a stop before the door cracked and opened. Pulling his mask from his face, Gage gripped the rim of the tube, pulling his form forward. It took him a moment to get his bearings, his mind being a little fuzzy, though when he heard Lux's pitch of achievement, he shook his head and stood out. They had survived the trip unscathe. Though the ground they landed in wasn't quite as lucky. The Cryo-tubes had smashed into the back corner of the great hall leaving a sizable dent in the floor. Let's hope Nero had Citadel Insurance.

Gage walked forward after retrieving his katana from the Cryo-Tube and towards Lux, his eye scanning his surroundings as he walked to Lux and rested a large hand on her shoulder. Gage wasn't sure what they would encounter here in Profane, even though Nero summoned him himself, so being on edge or at least cautious would definitely be their best bet.

Laying in tight spaces had never really bothered the Atlanthean before, but there was something about the container that was now surrounding him that made him feel like things were about to get adventurous. Once he had done what Luxia had said he closes his eyes over and the only thing he could hear was the sound of his heart, thumping away until slowly the rhythm began to die out and he passed out from the mask placed around his face.

The sound of crashing jolted his body awake and his eyes open, though the scene in front of him was still hazy to say the least he was able to make out the voice that was Luxia and by her words they’d arrived in one piece. Archon pulled the mask from his mouth and let it hit against the tube as he waited for the dizziness to leave him, he could barely recall the moments before getting into the contain, the instructions she had given them and then the journey there; right now it was a blur inside his head that was throbbing as if someone was continuously beating him on the head with a bat. Finally he stepped out of the Cryo-Tube only to turn around and look at the damage that had been caused by their landing, the corner of whatever hall they were in would definitely need some work done to it, not to mention the large containers that didn’t seem to have any place being in the scene.

His large rough hand passed over his face as he tried to waken from the sleepiness that his body was still fighting off, whatever she had put in the Cryo Chamber was definitely still in effect at the moment, but as time passed on and new air filled his lungs his senses started to come to him. Turning around in time to see Gage placing a hand on Luxia’s shoulder Archon already figured out what the warning sign meant, after all even if they were invited here perhaps the owner wasn’t aware of the crashing circumstances that their arrival would cause.

Both of his arms stretched out and with the flick of his wrists two long silver blades fell into his grip, his fingers clasping around the hilts with comfort. Archon had finally stepped forward into the light, as the corner of the hall was dim at best. The metal from his outfit reflected the light yet the dark leather he wore seemed to absorb it, fine details on his leathers could have been noticed if someone was close enough, the markings on the shoulder guards and such would often leave one wondering where the intricate designs were made; yet even he didn’t know the answer to this. As his bracers were now fixed and in full working condition they perhaps looked stranger still, each bracer holding two decently sized throwing knives, while on his right shoulder also rested three. The skirting he wore held the same design as the top, the only difference being the large metal plate that seemed there for protection, it spanned from just below his core to the centre of his stomach and spread enough that he’d have decent protection if he were to be stabbed in that area.

Finally the Atlanthean’s face would come into view as the light passed over it, he was clearly the youngest looking of the three; so much so that he looked like he had lived no longer than twenty years. This young look along with his almost blind looking eyes were often enough to make people question his talent, his knowledge and even sometimes his courage. Archon’s peerless scratched white eyes finally took in the scene around them, true be told he was waiting on guards rushing in to protect their hall, or at least some kind of adverse reaction to their entrance into this new world.
